After completing his coursework in the Master of Public Health in the Population and Public Health stream at Memorial University, Salil is doing his practicum at NLCHI (Newfoundland Center of Health Informatics). Salil is assisting in research and the evaluation of core indicators of health at NLCHI. He is also assisting in research for the NL Rural Drinking Water project. His main area of research is finding the rationale for the E.Coli levels in the Drinking water supplies and watershed management in other provinces. Salil has done his Doctor of Medicine from Irkutsk State Medical University, Russia. He was practicing medicine in India and Maldives before coming to Canada.
