Fiona is a Masters Candidate at Simon Fraser University, in Resource and Environmental Management (REM) (Planning). Fiona received her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Environmental Studies from Queen’s University in 2011. She has completed her course work for her Master’s degree and is working on the last stages of her thesis project within the REM Centre for Tourism Policy and Research with supervisor Dr. Alison Gill. Her thesis project is examining how innovative policy and governance towards sustainability is being transferred between resort municipalities within BC. Fiona is the elected treasurer for the Planning Student Association at Simon Fraser University. Fiona is interested in tourism policy and sustainability opportunities in rural communities.
